The crossing of Vytauto and Mickevičiaus streets is at the same time the place where the two characters of the street layout meet. The four-storey firewall of the neighbouring house in Mickevičiaus street is intended for continuation of the street perimeter, while the preserved villa within the site is an example of homestead-layout. The new apartment buildings are designed to provide the missing link: the taller volumes neutralise the impact of the firewalls, while the lower complete the layout of Vytautas street, leaving a recreational space visually connected to the churchyard across the street.
