Project Flow aims to rediscover Vokieciu street as a result of multilayered history. Proposed lightly meandering plan line is materialised as dimentional design object – street lamp. This compositional detail forms space and creates a new visual expression of street part parallel to foreign soviet period buildings, built in the middle of XX century which ignores principles of destoyed historic oldtown street perimeter. Flowing graphical movement seeks to revive theritory of Vokieciu street with contemporary spirit. Fragments of notional historic buildings foundations are preserved for longterm comprehensive research. Valuable planic and dimentional structures of historical street, which were destroyed, are restored with artistic volumetric design objects. Project Flow invites to explore historic layers of the theritory, former Jewish quarters, The Great Sinagogue of Vilnius. Main goal of the project is to create new high quality spaces in Vokieciu street between buildings from different historic periods, with saving and highlighting valuable historic elements.
